About Storage Kernel
I'm Mustafa, and I design file systems. Storage Kernel is where I show what really happens to your data: on the phone in your pocket, the SSD in your laptop, and the servers behind every app.
Each film starts from a real question or a true case and goes inside the drive to answer it. Every film has a written version here, with chapters, the full transcript and its sources, so you can read it, search it and quote it.
Two kinds of films
For everyone: how the storage you own behaves, and what to do about it: recovering a deleted photo, choosing a drive, wiping a laptop before you sell it.
For engineers and students: file systems and operating systems from the inside: data structures, crash recovery, the Linux storage stack and the history behind them.
How the films are made
I write and check every script myself. The visuals are made with AI video tools and labelled where they reconstruct real events; the narration is my own voice. Terminal output shown in a film comes from real tests.
